I received an inquiry from a prospective client stating that she had been referred to me but was uncertain if I would work with her as she, herself was a designer. She went on to tell me that she had an antique store, actually warehouses of exquisite finds that she had hoped to use in the renovation of her 1980's newly acquired home in the mountains. I was intrigued and asked her to send me some photos of the materials that she wanted to incorporate, hoping that I would not find a velvet Elvis painting in the mix! Quite the opposite was true. After taking inventory of the materials that were on the priority list and making sure we did not overdo the :good stuff", together we created this unique European Contemporary home that possesses an elegance all its own.
From the Master Bathroom Mirrors and Chandelier, to the Powder Room Sink Vessel and Wall Sconces, to the Portuguese Tiles adorning the Kitchen Backsplash on which Antique Timbers have been mounted for shelves this project was a delightful marriage of old and new materials as well as a being a highly successful collaboration.
